How to root the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7Launched in June this year, the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7 is one of the popular budget Android tablet available in the market which cost you only $149 for the 16GB variant. Like most other budget tablets, the Asus MeMO Pad HD 7 is powered by a quad-core 1.2 GHz Mediatek processor and 1 GB RAM. If you happen to own this tablet and want to further exploit its performance, then read on to find out how to root the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7 using framaroot app.

 

Before we begin, I would like to warn you that during the process of rooting, there is a risk of bricking your own device. So if you still want to proceed, you’ll be doing it at your own risk and we will hold no responsible for any form of damage on your device. Its a good practice for you to backup your device to an external source apart from your own SD Card.

 

Follow the steps below on how to root the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7

 

  1. Download the Framaroot apk and place it on your desktop.
  2. Connect the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7 to your PC.
  3. Copy and paste the Framaroot apk from your desktop over to your tablet’s SD card.
  4. Ensure that the Unknown Sources option has been checked in your tablet’s security settings ( This is required in order to install apks outside Google Play ).
  5. Launch your file explorer from your app drawer ( if you do not have one, you can download ES File Explorer from the Play Store ) and install the Framaroot apk from your SD card.
  6. Open the Framaroot app on your ASUS Memo Pad HD 7.
  7. Select install Superuser on the Framaroot appSelect install Superuser.
  8. Tap on the Boromir / Faramir option on the app.
  9. Success pop-up on Framaroot appWait for a success pop-up to appear on the screen.
  10. Reboot your tablet.
  11. Congratulation! You’ve just rooted the ASUS Memo Pad HD 7.
