The ThL T100 is the first octa-core powered Android smartphone released by ThL back in December last year. The ThL T100 comes with a 5 inches fHD display powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core processor and 2GB RAM. Coming along with it is a 13 megapixels camera capable of recording 1080p videos. Although the ThL T100S comes with high-end features and hardware, it is available for just $299 – 3 times cheaper than the HTC One. What’s even better is that you can root ThL T100S rather easily as well if you’re using a Windows PC. In the following tutorial, I will be guiding you guys on how to root ThL T100S using the vroot program.
Disclaimer : During the process of rooting, there is always a risk for you to brick your Android device. So if you choose to root your device, you are doing it at your own risk! Your device warranty will also be voided after rooting.
Prerequisites before you begin rooting ThL T100S
- Download the vroot program to your PC.
- Make sure you have installed the necessary device driver before moving on.
- Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging from your device’s settings.
- Make sure there is at least 80% battery remaining in your smartphone.
- Back up the ThL T100S.
Follow the steps below on how to root ThL T100S
- Install vroot on your PC by double-clicking on its icon.
- Open the vroot program on your PC.
- Connect the ThL T100S to your PC using an appropriate USB cable.
- Wait for your PC to detect your device before you proceed.
- On the program, click on the ROOT button ( Green button ) to begin rooting the device.
- You’ll be prompted by the program once it has rooted your device.
- Your device will then be automatically rebooted.
- Congratulation! You’ve just rooted ThL T100S!
