HTC Desire 20 Pro Bags Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi Certifications

HTC is rumored to be working on HTC Desire 20 Pro smartphone. The handset is believed to have an HTC 2Q9J100 model number. The model was recently spotted at the database of the National Communications Commission (NCC) in Taiwan. It was also found listed at Google Play Console. The HTC Desire 20 Pro has also received Bluetooth SIG and Wi-Fi certifications.

The Bluetooth SIG only confirms the support for Bluetooth 5.0 on the Desire 20 Pro. On June 5, the handset was approved by Wi-Fi Alliance authority. The Wi-Fi certification of the handset revealed that it carries support for dual-band Wi-Fi and it is preinstalled with Android 10 OS.

The Google Play Console listing of the smartphone had revealed that its display supports 1080 x 2340 pixels resolution. It is a mid-range phone powered by Snapdragon 665 chipset. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM.

Reliable tipster Evan Blass had revealed in the recent past that the HTC Desire 20 Pro is codenamed as Bayamo. The schematics of the phone that he had shared revealed that it will be arriving as HTC’s first phone with a punch-hole screen. Also, it will be the company’s first smartphone to arrive with Android 10 OS preinstalled.

The rear shell of the phone has a fingerprint reader and a quad-camera setup assisted by an LED flash unit. If the Desire 20 Pro exists, it is likely that there could be a vanilla model called Desire 20. The Taiwanese firm is yet to confirm the existence of the Desire 20 series.
