In this year, HTC introduced its new U-series of smartphones such as HTC U Ultra, U Play, U11, U11 Life and U11+. Rumors suggested that the Taiwanese company may debut the HTC Ocean Harmony, a toned-down version of the U11+ flagship phone in this month. However, fresh information suggests that the company may announce it at CES 2018.
According to Digitimes, HTC will be launching few number of smartphones in 2018. The company has been always criticized for not marketing its phones aggressively. Hence, it is reported that the company concentrate more on R&D and marketing of its phones in 2018.
In order to gain popularity in the mid-range segment, the company is speculated to release another version of the HTC U11+ in January. This could be the stripped-down version of the phone and the company may use the CES 2018 stage to unveil it. The Snapdragon 652 chipset variant of the phone is expected to feature 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage whereas the Snapdragon 660 chipset model will include 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Other specs include 5.99-inch FHD+ display, Edge Sense, 5-megapixel dual frontal cameras, 12-megapixel rear camera and 3,930mAh battery.
The publication has also revealed some information on the alleged HTC U12 flagship phone that will be releasing next year. It claims that the handset will be arriving with a 4K display and it will receive power from Snapdragon 845 chipset. It will be also equipped with dual rear cameras.
