Honor is expected to announce the Honor X10 smartphone in May alongside. Just as the company launched Honor 9X and Honor 9X Pro phones last year, there is a possibility that the Honor X10 Pro phone could be also launching Honor X10. A fresh leak reveals that Honor and its parent brand Huawei are working on phones that will come with display size of around 7 inches.
According to a Chinese tipster that has been leaking on Huawei and Honor phones, has claimed that both brands will be launching smartphones with 7-inch displays. These phones will have side-facing fingerprint readers. The tipster claimed that Huawei and Honor did not release such large-display smartphones last year, but they will be arriving this year.
In 2018, Honor had launched the Honor Note 10 with 6.95-inch display and Honor 8X Max with 7.12-inch display. In the same year, Huawei had launched Huawei Mate 20 X phone with 7.2-inch display, and it had also launched Huawei Y Max as rebranded version of Honor 8X Max in some markets. Hence, Huawei and Honor could be launching the successors of any of these phones with 7-inch displays.
Some netizens are speculating that the Honor Note 20 could be Honor’s 7-inch screen phone. The Honor Note 10 had an AMOLED panel. Considering the fact that the upcoming 7-inch Honor phone has a side-facing fingerprint reader, it could be fitted with an LCD panel. This suggests that Honor’s forthcoming 7-inch phone may not be Honor Note 20.
Probably, the Honor 8X Max’s successor could be coming with 7-inch display. There is a possibility that the company may launch Honor X10 Pro / Max phone with such a large display to rival with Redmi counterparts. The leakster has also claimed that Huawei and Honor are also planning to launch compact phones with 5.2-inch screens this year.
