Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition goes official with Snapdragon 765G & 50X Digital Zoom

Following the success of the Xiaomi Mi 10 series smartphones, Xiaomi has decided to bring a new member into the Mi 10 family. This device, known as the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition, has finally been announced during an online launch event today.

This device is an exciting alternative to the current premium mid-rangers in the market including the OPPO Reno3 Pro and Realme X50 5G.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition Specifications

For starter, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition features a 6.57-inches AMOLED display which has an impressive FHD+ screen resolution and HDR10+ support.

The device employs a dewdrop-notch design for its front panel to house a 16 megapixels selfie camera, and has an in-display fingerprint sensor. This time round, the Mi 10 Youth Edition has a thickness of just 7.8mm and weighs around 192 grams.

Over on its flip-side, the device touts a squarish camera module which is home to a quad-camera array. This includes a 48 megapixels main camera, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, 8 megapixels periscope lens, as well as a 2 megapixels macro camera.

Its worth noting that the periscope lens of its camera system is able to achieve up to 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. That’s definitely an attractive feature for a mid-ranger smartphone as such feature is typically limited to flagship phones.

Under the hood, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition is driven by the Snapdragon 765G SoC coupled with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB onboard storage space. In terms of connectivity, the device is able to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes.

To keep its lights on, there will be a respectable 4,160mAh battery which carries support for 20W fast-charging. As expected, the device will run on the latest MIUI 12 based on Android 10 OS.

For those who’re interested, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition will be available in five different colorways including Black, White, Blue, Green and Orange.

Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition Pricing

In terms of pricing, the Xiaomi Mi 10 Youth Edition will be priced at 2,099 Yuan (US$296), 2,299 Yuan (US$325), 2,499 Yuan (US$353) and 2,799 Yuan (US$395) respectively for its 6GB+64GB, 6GB+128GB, 8GB+128GB, as well as 8GB+256GB models.
