Huawei M7 Tablet to be Renamed as MatePad 10.8

In April, when Huawei had unveiled the Huawei Smart Screen X65, it had also shown a glimpse of the MediaPad M7 tablet. The tablet was seen sporting a punch-hole display design. Fresh information shared by a reliable tipster from China reveals that the tablet could be renamed as MatePad 10.8.

The leakster also revealed the key specifications of the MatePad 10.8. It is a flagship tablet powered by the Kirin 990 5G chipset. It has a punch-hole display of 10.8 inches which supports 1600 x 2560 pixels.

The rear side of the tablet is fitted with a 13-mgeapixel camera. At the front, it has a camera of 8-megapixel. The tablet is fitted with AKG-tuned quad speakers. The MatePad 10.8 has a 7,500mAh battery. The dimensions of the slate are 257 x 170 x 7.2mm. It weighs around 498 grams.

Huawei has given up the MediaPad name for its tablets. The name has replaced by MatePad moniker. In October 2019, the first render of the MediaPad M7 was shared by popular tipster Evan Blass. It went official in February as MatePad Pro in Europe with a starting price of 550 euros. The tablet is also available in China with a pricing of 5,199 Yuan.

The MatePad Pro’s dimensions are slightly different from that of the MatePad 10.8. Moreover, the MatePad Pro has a 7,250mAh battery while the MatePad 10.8 has a 7,500mAh battery. Huawei is expected to soon hold a launch event to announce multiple devices. Hopefully, the MatePad 10.8 may go official through the upcoming event.
