Huawei Mate 30 Pro Eclipses Samsung Galaxy Note 10 in DxOMark

Recently, the newly announced Samsung Galaxy Note 10 was crowned as the best photography phone in DxOMark after bringing the Huawei P30 Pro down to second place.

However, that seems to be rather short-lived. Today, the DxO benchmark for the Huawei Mate 30 Pro has finally been released and like what many had expected, it eases pass the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G by 4 points with a total of 121 points. In terms of it’s video capability, it scores a total of 100 points, which is just a single point behind the current top-scorer.

According to DxOMark, the Mate 30 Pro did incredibly well in the Noise and Texture attributes, which according to them, is something pretty unusual due to the notion that a noise-free image would usually translates to a loss of details and vice versa. The Mate 30 Pro however, is able to effectively balance this two attributes at ease.

Furthermore, the device also flared pretty well in terms of color and exposure as well. Even under low-light environment, images remain well-exposed thanks to it’s wide dynamic range which help to achieve good shadow and highlight details under high-contrast environment.

Essentially, the Mate 30 Pro had performed really well across all metrics and has once again, pushed the boundaries for smartphone photography. However, the recent US trade ban had resulted in the omission of Google Play apps and services on the Mate 30 series which will definitely affects it’s global sale to some extent.

Thankfully, a pretty easy workaround had recently been discovered to easily install these crucial apps and services on the device. Otherwise, we would definitely miss out an extremely solid smartphone this year.
