After a long wait, the Huawei Mate 30 RS Porsche Design finally goes on it’s debut sale in China. As expected, this ultra-luxury smartphone will command an astronomical price of 12,999 Yuan (US$1,850).
For the money you pay, you will be getting an exclusively redesigned Mate 30 Pro with more RAMs and onboard storage. Unlike the Mate 30 Pro, the Mate 30 RS has a handcrafted premium leather finishing on it’s back panel, coupled with a vertical glass stripe which runs from the top to the bottom of the device.
Similarly, the Mate 30 RS doesn’t come with the unique holo ring which circles around the quad-camera setup, as seen on the Mate 30 Pro. Instead, it will feature a quad-camera sensors which are arranged in a square fashion.
Moving on to the specs, the Mate 30 RS will share largely the same internals as the Mate 30 Pro (5G) except for it’s memory configuration which comprises of a hefty 12GB RAM and 512GB onboard storage space.
Just like the other smartphones in the Mate 30 series, the Mate 30 RS will not be shipped with Google Play apps and services as well. Therefore, you will still need to resort to various workarounds in order to bring those crucial services to your device.
