Huawei Mate 40 Pro 4G, Mate 40E 4G, and Nova 8 Pro 4G Relaunched with HarmonyOS

Huawei has launched three smartphones such as Mate 40 Pro 4G, Mate 40E 4G, and Nova 8 Pro 4G in China. These phones are not entirely new since they had launched with 5G support. As can be seen in their monikers, they have arrived as the 4G-only version of the existing phones. The other highlight of these smartphones is that they are equipped with HarmonyOS 2. The new Huawei phones are now up for pre-orders in the home market.

The Kirin 9000 powered Mate 40 Pro 4G comes has landed in China in two variants such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. They are priced at 6,099 Yuan ($946) and 6,599 Yuan ($1,024), respectively. These variants are 400 Yuan ($62) cheaper than their 5G counterparts.

Huawei Mate 40E 4G

The Mate 40 featuring the Kirin 990E chip has arrived in 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage options. They are priced at 4,199 Yuan ($652) and 4,699 Yuan ($729), respectively. These models are also 400 Yuan ($62) cheaper than their 5G editions.

Huawei Nova 8 Pro 4G

The Nova 8 Pro 4G has Kirin 985 chip and it comes in two options such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 8 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. The base model costs 3,699 Yuan ($574), while the higher edition is priced at 4,099 Yuan ($636). The 5G variant is 300 Yuan ($45) costlier than the newly unveiled 4G variant.

Apart from the exclusion of a 5G modem, the Mate 40 Pro 4G, Mate 40E 4G, and Nova 8 Pro 4G have the same specs as their 5G variants. On top of it, these devices are preinstalled with HarmonyOS 2. It is unclear whether these devices will ever make it to markets outside China.
