Android Updates Huawei News

Huawei Mate X EMUI 10 Beta recruitment commenced in China

Huawei has confirmed that the EMUI 10 Beta recruitment program has commenced for the Huawei Mate X foldable smartphone which is currently running on EMUI 9.1 based on Android Pie.

The upcoming EMUI 10 update will bring a barrage of new features to the device including a refreshed user interface, an exhilarating dark mode, snappier performance, multi-screen collaboration, Huawei’s HiCar and many more.

However, this update will probably affects a very small group of people who managed to purchase the Huawei Mate X during the first three round of sales in China. Despite it’s hefty price tag of 16,999 yuan (US$2,403), the Mate X were sold out in a matter of seconds during the sales.

As of now, the Huawei Mate X is available exclusively to China as it’s global launch remains uncertain. Many believed that it’s delayed global launch is due to the omission of licensed Google Play apps and services which might cause consumers to become hesitant to fork out an astronomical sum of money for the device.
