Huawei Mate X2 to Launch on February 22

The Huawei Mate X was made official as Huawei’s first foldable phone in February 2019. Last year in February, the company released its updated version with Huawei Mate Xs moniker. Recent reports claimed that the Chinese manufacturer may launch the Mate X2 in February. Today, the company officially confirmed that it will be announcing its next foldable smartphone on Feb. 22.

The Huawei Mate X and Mate Xs sported out-folding design. Multiple reports have claimed that the Mate X2 will flaunt an inward folding design. The official poster released by the brand today reveals that the Mate X2 is indeed to arrive with an in-folding design.

A Weibo user named Courage Digital King had claimed earlier this week that the in-folding design of the Mate X2 will be different from Samsung’s design. He had also claimed that the device will be packed with “dazzling technologies” and it will be powered by a 5nm chip, which seems to be the Kirin 9000 chipset.
