Huawei will be holding a mega launch event in China tomorrow. The Chinese manufacturer will be announcing the Huawei MatePad Pro 2 and Huawei Watch 3 running on the all-new HarmonyOS. Well-known tipster Digital Chat Station shared the key specs of the tablet.
The recent reports have dubbed the upcoming Huawei tablet as the MatePad Pro 2. However, the tipster has mentioned it as the MatePad Pro 10.8 in his leak, which reveals that it will be featuring a 10.8-inch LCD panel that delivers a resolution of 1600 x 2560 pixels.
The Snapdragon 870 mobile platform will be present under the hood of the MatePad Pro 10.8, and it will draw power from a 7250mAh battery. It goes without saying that the tablet will come preinstalled with the HarmonyOS 2.0.
The MatePad Pro 10.8 will feature a front camera of 8-megapixel and a rear camera of 13-megapixel. The tablet will come with support for second-generation M Pencil and it will be flanked with quad speakers. It has a thickness of 7.2mm and weighs 460 grams. It will be available in plain leather color. The tipster did not share any information on the pricing of the MatePad Pro 10.8.
In terms of specs, the MatePad Pro 10.8 appears like a renewed version of the existing MatePad Pro, which was announced back in November 2019 in China. The original MatePad Pro came with the Kirin 990, whereas the upcoming model has the Snapdragon 870. The rest of the specs of the MatePad Pro 10.8 appears to be identical to the older model.
