Huawei MediaPad C5 Reportedly in Works with 8-inch Screen, SD435

Huawei has recently launched the MediaPad M5 series of tablets in the U.S. Fresh information reveals that the Chinese manufacturer is working on a new budget-friendly tablet called MediaPad C5.

The rumored MediaPad C5 is codenamed as Monet and it is likely to arrive in two models such as Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi + LTE. Both the variants are expected to house an 8-inch screen that will deliver a resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The modest Snapdragon 435 chipset will be present under the MediaPad C5 tablets. These devices will be loaded with Android 7.0 Nougat.

There is no confirmation on the launch date of the MediaPad C5. It may take a few months for these devices to get official. If they are released after a month or two, they may feature Android 8.0 Oreo.

The MediaPad C5 is expected to arrive as a successor for the MediaPad M5 Lite that was made available last year. Hence, there is a possibility that it could be feature 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM and internal storage of 64 GB or 128 GB.

Huawei is unlikely to keep a dedicated launch event for MediaPad C5 budget tablet. So, it may either announce it silently or use the upcoming IFA 2018 tech trade show to unleash them.
