Chinese manufacturing giant, Huawei, has released its latest smartphone, Huawei nova 4 in an event held in Changsha. This is about the last smartphone from the company this year and most of the specs are consistent with what we saw from previous speculations. The Huawei nova 4 comes with a punch hole camera design and it prides as the smallest punch hole in the industry for now. Its punch hole diameter is 4.5 mm which is much smaller than the 6.5 mm punch hole of the Galaxy A8s.
The Huawei nova 4 is equipped with a 6.4-inch display with a resolution of 2310 × 1080 and a screen-to-body ratio of 86.3%. The high screen-to-body ratio was achieved due to the small aperture. From top to bottom, the nova 4 uses a glass cover, a liquid crystal panel, a backlight layer, and a front camera which is believed to be the smallest in the industry. Huawei introduced a new design on the nova 4 by using a micro-slot design with a width of 0.85mm for the earpiece. It is hidden at the top edge, where three-color indicator light is also hidden.
Looking at the general specs of this smartphone, the Huawei nova 4 is powered by a Kirin 970 SoC 10nm process node and consists of Cortex A73 × 4 + Cortex A53 × 4 core architecture. This processor is supported by 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal memory. In the camera department, the nova 4 comes with a 48MP sensor on the rear which makes it the first smartphone to use a 48MP camera while for selfies, it has a 25MP shooter.
