Huawei Nova 5T will be Officially Announced on August 25th

Previously, we reported about a mysterious smartphone dubbed as Huawei Nova 5T which was surprisingly spotted over at Google Enterprise directory – even though the device was not yet been made official.

However, Huawei has now officially confirmed that the Nova 5T series will be made official in Malaysia on August 26th during their upcoming #WeAreNova fashion showcase event.

Although it’s initial listing at Google Enterprise website reveal it as a compact smartphone with 5.5-inch display, but renowned leaker Roland Quandt was quick to point out that the listing information is incorrect.

In fact, the Huawei Nova 5T is simply the rebranded version of the already announced Honor 20 and will come with the same 6.26-inch display. With that in mind, it is natural to assume that the Nova 5T Pro is none other than the Honor 20 Pro as well.

Huawei Nova 5T Specifications

The Huawei Nova 5T is expected to come with a 6.26-inches IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2340 pixels screen resolution and a 19.5:9 tall aspect ratio which provides an immersive graphical experience for its users.

The Nova 5T is powered by an octa-core HiSilicon’s Kirin 980 SoC alongside 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage space. Camera-wise, it comes with a quad-camera setup on the back comprising of a 48MP (f/1.8 aperture) main snapper, 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) depth sensor, 16MP (f/2.2 aperture) ultrawide sensor, as well as a 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) dedicated micro camera. On the front panel, there is also a punched-hole selfie camera which features a 32 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) sensor.

In terms of software, the device will come loaded with EMUI 9.1 based on the Android Pie OS. A massive 3,750mAh non-removable battery is available under the hood to support hours of entertainment on the go.
