The TENAA listing of the Huawei ANA-AL00 phone revealed that it does not support 5G connectivity. The tipster has claimed that this device is powered by the Kirin 990 4G SoC. To recollect, Huawei had launched the Kirin 990 in 4G and 5G versions back in September 2019. Built with a 7nm process, the Kirin 990 4G offers slightly lower performance and NPU computing power than its 5G edition.

The TENAA listing states that the alleged Huawei P40 4G has a 6.1-inch display and its measures are 148.9 x 71.06 x 8.5mm. It has a 3.85Wh battery and it runs on Android 10 OS. The other specs of the smartphone are under wraps. The images of the phone at TENAA are not clear as they do not show the exact display design and the number of rear-mounted cameras.

The display size and the measurements of the Huawei P40 4G are identical to its 5G variant that was announced back in Q1 2020. Even the rear design of the P40 4G is identical to its 5G version.

The Huawei P40 5G was powered by the Kirin 990 5G. It appears that the company will be only swapping the chipset with the Kirin 990 4G on the P40 4G. The rest of its specifications could be identical to the 5G version.

The Huawei P40 5G came with specs like a 6.1-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a pill-shaped cutout, 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage, 32-megapixel front camera, a 32-megapixel dual selfie camera setup, a 50-megapixel triple camera system, a 3,800mAh battery with 22.5W fast charging support.
