Last week, Huawei’s upcoming P40 flagship phones were spotted at TENAA. It could be deduced from the listings that the ANA-AN00 and ANA-TN00 model number belongs to the Huawei P40. On the other side, the ELS-AN00 and ELS-TN00 model numbers were found to be associated with Huawei P40 Pro. These phones were also found to be equipped with 5G connectivity. Now, the same model numbers have appeared on the database of 3C authority ahead of the March 26 global launch.
The 3C appearance of the ANA-AN00 / TN00 again confirm that the Huawei P40 supports 5G connectivity. The ELS-AN00 / TN00’s 3C listing also shows that it supports 5G. The presence of Kirin 990 5G chipset will enable 5G connectivity on the P40 series of flagship phones.
The same listing also revealed that the Huawei P40 may be able to support up to 22.5W fast-charging, while the P40 Pro on the other hand could support up to 40W fast-charging.
Other than that, here’s what we learned about the Huawei P40 and P40 Pro so far:
Huawei P40 (ANA-AN00/ ANA-TN00)
According to an earlier leaked render of the Huawei P40, the device will feature a pill-shaped cut-out on the top-left corner which houses a total of two camera sensors. This is pretty similar to what we’d seen on the recently announced Huawei Nova 6 and Honor V30 .
On it’s flip-side, there will be a rectangular camera module that houses a triple-camera setup which are believed to be a main shooter, ultra-wide lens, as well as a ToF lens.
The Leica-branded camera will also be accompanied by a dual-tone LED flash housed within the same module. Seen in the render above, the camera module makes a slight protrusion from the device’s rear panel.
Huawei P40 Pro (ELS-AN00/ ELS-TN00)
The Huawei P40 Pro on the other hand, will feature a more pronounced curves along the two sides of it’s front panel as compared to the P40.
On it’s rear panel, the rectangular camera module will house a total of four camera sensors which are believed to be a main shooter, Cine Lens, telephoto lens, as well as a ToF sensor.
According to rumors, the P40 Pro could feature a 52 megapixels Sony-made “Quad Quad Bayer” sensor. This basically means it will make use of two 4-in-1 Quad Bayer conversions to achieve a 16-in-1 pixel-binned image.
