Huawei Shipped More than 200 Million Smartphones this Year

For the past few months, Huawei has been plagued by the ongoing US trade ban which has eventually lead to the omission of Google Play apps and services for their newly announced, Mate 30 series smartphones.

Although many believed that the US Trade ban will have an adverse effect on Huawei’s smartphone sales this year, but that doesn’t seems to be the case. According to Huawei, the company has already shipped more than 200 million smartphones globally this year.

In 2018, the 200 million sales mark was only achieved on December 25th – which means the 200 million milestone has been attained 64 days earlier this year. Furthermore, we have to keep in mind that this impressive figure was achieved even before the Mate 30 series smartphones go on sale in the global market.

To mark this special occasion, Huawei has announced a limited edition Mate 30 Pro 5G based on the Vegan Leather Orange and Vegan Leather Forest Green variants. All the specs will remain the same, except this special edition unit has a commemorative logo engraved on it’s back panel. For those who’re interested, this exclusive unit will go on sale in China starting November 1st.
