Huawei to Skip P11’s Launch at MWC 2018

Previous rumors had claimed that Huawei would be debuting the P11 series of smartphones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in February this year. However, fresh information claims that the Chinese manufacturer will not be launching the P11 series at MWC 2018. Instead, it will be unleashing its next-generation flagship phones through an exclusive launch event in March or April.

It is speculated that the Huawei is delaying the launch of P11 series phones because it wants to clear the obstacles that are coming in their way of selling phones in the U.S., stabilize the supply and demand of next-generation chipsets and improving the quality of the triple camera setup.

Not only Huawei, but also LG has reportedly decided to not to unveil the LG G7 flagship phone. The South Korean company is expected to debut the LG G7 through a dedicated launch event in March or April. Instead of LG G7, the company is speculated to launch a special edition of LG V30 with advanced AI features at MWC 2018.

Market analysts are of the view that Huawei and LG are not launching their next-generation flagship phones at MWC 2018 is that these companies want to avoid clashing. It appears that the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are the only major smartphones that may get debuted at MWC 2018. However, there is a possibility that Xiaomi may unveil the Mi 7 flagship at the next month’s tech trade show.
