Besides the Huawei Y8s, Huawei had also announced another pair of smartphones today. These devices are none other than the Huawei Y5p and Y6p which were leaked earlier this week.
Huawei Y5p
Indeed, this device is a rebranded model of the newly announced Honor 9S. As such, there wouldn’t be any changes to its design and specs.
At the front, the Huawei Y5p will feature a 5.45-inches LCD display with 1440 x 720 pixels screen resolution. The device has a huge bezels above its front display, which was traditionally seen among older smartphones. This bezel is home to a earpiece and a 5 megapixels selfie camera.
On the flip-side, the Huawei Y5p has a squarish camera module which is home to a single 8 megapixels camera and a LED flash. Under the hood, the device is powered by an octa-core Helio P22 SoC which is assisted by 2GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage space which is further expandable by a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, there will be a 3,020mAh battery which is capable of supporting hours of continuous usage on the go. The device will run on the latest EMUI 10.1 based on Android 10 (AOSP version).
In Romania, the device is priced at 510.99 Leu (US$114) for its sole 2GB+32GB model.
Huawei Y6p
The Huawei Y6p on the other hand, will be a higher-end model. The device will feature a 6.3-inches LCD display with 1600 x 720 pixels screen resolution which employs a dewdrop-notch design to house an 8 megapixels selfie camera.
Over at the back, the Huawei Y6p will have a triple-camera array arranged in a vertical fashion. It consists of a 13 megapixels main camera, 5 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 2 megapixels depth sensor. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is present as well.
In terms of internals, the device is powered by the same Helio P22 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and 64GB onboard storage which is also expandable by up to 512GB via a microSD card.
To keep its lights on, there is a generous 5,000mAh which does not carry any fast-charging support. On the software-side, it will run on the EMUI 10 based on Android 10 (AOSP version).
With regards to its pricing, the Huawei Y6p will be priced at 708.99 Leu (US$203) in Romania for its sole 3GB+64GB model.
