India’s First iQOO Phone May Launch on February 25 with Sub-Rs. 40,000 Pricing

Recently, iQOO confirmed that it will be launching its first smartphone in India. The company has already some key details of the phone such as Snapdragon 865 mobile platform, 5G support and liquid cooling technology. Some reports have claimed that it could be called iQOO 3 since the upcoming SD865 phone coming to China carries the said name. However, iQOO India is yet to confirm on the name of the device. Fresh leaks have revealed the launch date and pricing of the upcoming iQOO phone for India.

iQOO may announce its first 5G-ready Snapdragon 865 mobile platform phone in India on Feb. 25. 5G networks haven’t commercialized in India, but the company seems to be aiming to become the first to launch a 5G-ready handset in the country.

Another report states that the company is planning to launch two iQOO phones in India. The first one is an SD865 5G phone and the other phone is said to be a flagship-grade device with 4G capabilities. The report states that 5G iQOO phone could be cost less than Rs. 40,000 ($561). On the other side, the 4G iQOO smartphone could be priced under Rs. 35,000 ($491).

It is unclear whether the 5G and 4G iQOO phones will both be announced on Feb. 25. Previous reports have claimed that the 4G phone may go official sometime later. The SD865 iQOO phone may include accessories like earphones in its retail package. The phone is said to be arrive with some industry first features.

China will be receiving the iQOO 3 phone soon. Its launch date for China is yet to be confirmed. It is expected to arrive with specs like 6.44-inch full HD+ punch-hole display with in-screen fingerprint reader, Snapdragon 865, up to 12GB of RAM, UFS 3.1 storage, 4,410mAh battery with 55W charging support, 16-megapixel selfie camera and 48-megapixel quad rear cameras.
