Infinix Hot 11 series smartphones debut with decent upgrades

As scheduled, Infinix has officially unveiled a pair of budget-friendly smartphones in the Indian market dubbed as the Infinix Hot 11 and Hot 11S, which will be succeeding the Infinix Hot 10 and Hot 10S devices.

Starting with the higher-end model, the Infinix Hot 11S sports a 6.78” IPS LCD display that offers a FHD+ screen resolution, 90Hz refresh rate, as well as an 8 megapixels selfie camera.

At the back of the phone, it comes with an oval-shape camera island that looks pretty similar to what we saw on the Huawei Nova 8 seriesĀ smartphones. It has a total of three rear cameras that include a 50 megapixels main camera, 2 megapixels depth sensor, as well as an AI lens.

Under the hood, the Infinix Hot 11S is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G88 chipset which is also found in the recently announced Redmi 10 (Review). On top of that, there’s also 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

To power the phone through the day, it’s equipped with a respectable 5,000mAh battery that comes with 18W fast-charging support. On the software-side, it’ll be shipped with XOS 7.6 based on Android 11 out of the box. In the Indian market, the Infinix Hot 11S is priced at INR10,999 (US$149) for it’s 4GB+64GB model.

Coming to the Infinix Hot 11, the phone comes with a smaller 6.6” IPS LCD display with FHD+ screen resolution and a slightly slower 60Hz refresh rate. It does however, retains the 8 megapixels front-facing camera.

On the flip-side, the Infinix Hot 11 features a modest dual-cam setup at the back comprising of a 13 megapixels main camera as well as an AI lens. Just like the Hot 11S, the phone has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner as well.

At the helm, the phone is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Helio G70 chipset which is assisted by 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage in the memory department. As usual, it’s storage capacity can still be further expanded via a microSD card.

Interestingly, the Infinix Hot 11 is fitted with a slightly larger 5,200mAh battery which also carries support for 18W fast-charging. In terms of pricing, the phone is priced at just INR8,999 (US$122) for it’s 4GB+128GB trim.
