It is no secret that Apple is working on a budget-friendly iPhone. The handset is expected to sport a design similar to the iPhone 8 that went official two years back. While reports have claimed that it could be called iPhone SE 2 or iPhone 9, a recent report had revealed that it could be simply named as iPhone SE and it will be referenced as a 2020 device. Well-known Apple analyst Jeff Pu from GF Securities claimed that the affordable iPhone is slated to go official on mid-April.
Rumors have claimed that Apple may launch the iPhone SE 2020 on April 15. Apple is yet to release an official teaser on the arrival of the new iPhone SE.
Past reports have revealed that the iPhone SE 2020 will inherit the Apple A13 Bionic SoC from the iPhone 11 series from last year. The SoC could be coupled with 3 GB of RAM. The phone may arrive in 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage choices.
The iPhone SE 2020 is expected to house a 4.7-inch display. The screen will be surrounded by thick bezels. The bottom bezel of the new iPhone is expected to feature the good old Touch ID sensor. The handset may arrive with a string price of $349.
Jeff Pu also revealed some details on the iPhone 12 series. He revealed that the lineup will include a 5.4-inch iPhone and two 6.1-inch iPhones. These iPhones are expected may debut in September followed by the arrival of a larger 6.7-inch iPhone in October.
