iQOO 9 Key Specifications Tipped, January 2022 Launch Expected

iQOO 9 is expected to launch in January 2022 in China. Like the predecessor series, the iQOO 9 lineup may include two models such as iQOO 9 and iQOO 9 Pro smartphones. Tipster Bald is Panda shared the key specifications of the vanilla iQOO 9.

The tipster revealed that the iQOO 9 will be equipped with a second-generation independent display chip, dual X-axis linear motors, dual speakers, and dual pressure sensors which serve as shoulder buttons for gaming.

The leak further mentions that the iQOO 9 will be sporting a 120Hz display, which appears to be an AMOLED panel. It is expected to carry support for 120Hz fast charging. The iQOO 9 is also expected to offer an optimized experience when it comes to heat dissipation and micro-gimbal camera.

He added that the iQOO 9 series of smartphones will be driven by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. Both models are likely to run on the latest Android 12 OS. Past reports have claimed that the iQOO 9 heading to China has a V2171A model number. It is speculated that the iQOO 9 series will be heading to India in January 2022. It has been found through the IMEI database listing that the iQOO 9 Pro’s model number is I2022.

In related news, iQOO is expected to announce the iQOO Neo5s and iQOO Neo5 SE smartphones in China this month. The Neo5 SE is expected to arrive with the Snapdragon 778G Plus and 66W fast charge support, whereas the iQOO Neo5s is likely to come with a 6.56-inch OLED FHD+ 120Hz display, Snapdragon 888, a 4,500mAh battery with 66W fast charging, a 16-megapixel camera, and a 48-megapixel triple camera unit with OIS support.
