iQOO Neo5 and iQOO 7 Indian Variants Spotted at Geekbench, Launch Seems Near

Recent reports have revealed that iQOO may release two or three phones by April in India. The first phone is expected to go as early as next month in the country. Now, Indian variants of two iQOO phones have surfaced on Geekbench. The listings suggest that these devices could be the iQOO 7 and iQOO Neo5 smartphones.

The iQOO brand was introduced last year in India. The company only launched one phone – the iQOO 3 in the country. While its Chinese variant carried a V1955A model number, its Indian edition had an I1928 model number. Hence, it appears that the two new iQOO phones with model numbers I2009 and I2012 that were spotted yesterday at Geekbench could be the Indian variants of the iQOO 7 and iQOO Neo5 smartphones.

iQOO 7 Indian version Geekbench

The Geekbench listing has revealed that the I2009 is fueled by Snapdragon 888 (mentioned with ‘lahaina’ codename), 12 GB of RAM, and Android 11 OS. This phone seems to be the Indian version of the iQOO 7 which went official in China last month. The phone scored 1130 in the single-core test and 3690 in the multi-core test.

On the other side, the I2012 model appears to be powered by the Snapdragon 870. Its Geekbench listing does not mention the name of the chipset explicitly. The 3.19GHz clocking speeds found mentioned in its source code is a good hint that the device is equipped with the Snapdragon 870.

The listing further revealed that it has 8 GB of RAM and Android 11 OS. It recorded 951 and 3339 in the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench, respectively. Recent reports have revealed that the company may announce the iQOO Neo5 with Snapdragon 870 chipset in March in China. Now that its alleged Indian version has been spotted at Geekbench, it may go official in India soon.
