iQOO Pro 5G to Debut on August 22

At July end, iQOO had recently confirmed that it will be soon launching its iQOO Pro 5G in August. Today, the Chinese firm has took to Weibo to confirm that the iQOO Pro 5G will be made official on August 22. The handset will be debuting as the first Vivo smartphone to `support 5G connectivity.

The iQOO Pro 5G will be arriving as an advanced version of the iQOO gaming phone that was announced in April this year in China. After the ASUS ROG Phone 2 and Xiaomi Black Shark 2 Pro, the iQOO Pro 5G will be the second Snapdragon 855+ chipset. However, it will be the first SD855+ phone to carry support for 5G connectivity. For 5G, the SoC will be coupled with Snapdragon X50 5G modem.

The Vice President of iQOO brand, Feng Yufei has claimed that the iQOO Pro 5G will be coming improvement performance, better cameras, enhanced battery life, better gaming experience and impressive sound quality. A recently released render of the iQOO Pro 5G shows that its appearance won’t be very different from the original iQOO phone.

The handset features a triple camera setup on its rear, and it will come equipped with an in-screen fingerpint reader. Its battery will carry support for 44W fast charging. Unconfirmed leak has claimed that it will possess 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage and 4,500mAh battery and it will be priced at 4,498 Yuan.
