Jolla Hong Kong

Finnish smartphone manufacturer Jolla has reached an agreement with 3 Hong Kong to bring their first smartphone to the Hong Kong market on August 12 next month. This smartphone runs on the new Sailfish OS which was partly based on Nokia’s MeeGo platform.

Since its official announcement back in November last year, the device has been selling quite well in the European markets for a price of just €399.

Right now, anyone interested in buying the device in Hong Kong can register themselves on 3 Hong Kong’s website and stand a chance of attending the Jolla Experience Night to celebrate its launch in Hong Kong. Not only that, they can also enter a prize draw to win a limited edition Jolla VIP Pack – but we didn’t know exactly what’s included inside this package.

Jolla TeaserJust in case you do not know, the Jolla smartphone is a mid-range device which rocks a 4.5″ qHD display which is powered by a Snapdragon 400 chipset along with 1GB of RAM. Software-wise, the device will be running on the Sailfish 1.0 OS upgradable to the upcoming 1.0.5 version.

Do share with us if you’ll be interested in getting the Jolla smartphone!
