Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 goes official with Snapdragon 888 & 90W fast-charging

After all the teasing, Lenovo has finally launched the much anticipated Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 gaming flagship which will go head on against the like of the ROG Phone 5 and Red Magic 6 series devices.

The new Lenovo Legion Phone Duel 2 sports a 6.96” FHD+ Samsung E4 AMOLED display that offers an ultra-smooth 144Hz refresh rate and up to 720Hz touch sampling rate. Above that, it also support HDR10+ and features up to 1,300 nits peak brightness.

What’s interesting is that the device comes with four ultrasonic shoulder keys that replicates console-like controller’s L1, L2, R1, R2 controls on the phone’s edge. Similarly, there’s also a pair of force touch keys on its front display, as well as a pair of capacitive trigger keys over on the flipside of the phone.

Under the hood, the Legion Phone Duel 2 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 888 mobile platform which will be paired with up to 18GB LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage capacity.

Aside from that, Lenovo also equipped the phone with a twin-turbo fan cooling system to ensure a smooth and consistent performance output, as well as a dual front-firing speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a Dual X-Axis Haptic Vibration Linear Motors for a more immersive gaming experience.

For photography, the Legion Phone Duel 2 relies on a dual-camera setup at the back consisting of a 64 megapixels (f/1.9 aperture) primary shooter alongside a 16 megapixels (f/2.2 aperture) ultra-wide camera.

Quite surprisingly, the device do have an impressive 44 megapixels (f/2.0 aperture) motorized pop-up selfie camera which most of us probably wouldn’t expect to see on a gaming-centric smartphone.

To keep its light on, the Legion Phone Duel 2 is fitted with a 5,500mAh dual-cell battery which carries support for up to 90W fast-charging. Despite that, the device is shipped with a 65W charger out of the box, therefore you’ll need to purchase the 90W charger separately to take advantage of the maximum charging speed.

In the European markets, the Legion Phone Duel 2 is available in three variants including 12GB+256GB, 16GB+256GB and 18GB+512GB which are priced at €799, €999 and €1,099 respectively.
