Earlier this month, we reported that the Aurora variant of the Lenovo Z5 flagship went on its debut sale in the Chinese market. However, only the 6GB+128GB model of the smartphone is available in that exquisite color so far.
However, things are about to change. Right now, Chinese online retailing giant JD.com has begun listing the Aurora variant of the Lenovo Z5 handset with 6GB+64GB memory configuration for pre-registration as well. Due to its watered-down storage space, the 64GB model will come with a cheaper price tag of just 1,399 Yuan (US$ 206) – 400 Yuan (US$59) cheaper than its 128GB sibling.
For the benefit of those who’d missed out, the Lenovo Z5 comes with a 6.2-inches IPS LCD display with 1080 x 2246 pixels screen resolution and an 18:9 tall aspect ratio. The device is driven by a mid-ranger Snapdragon 636 SoC out of the box and runs on ZUI 4.0 atop the Android 8.0 Oreo. Camera-wise, there is a 16MP+8MP dual-camera setup at the back, as well as an 8MP front-facing selfie cam. A 3,300mAh non-removable battery is available under the hood to keep its lights on.
As for its availability, the device will go on sale starting July 26th later this week.
