Android Rumors Leaked LG News

LG G-Series Axed and LG G9 ThinQ is Not Coming, Claims Report

A report from the previous week had claimed that the LG G9 ThinQ will be debuting soon. Fresh information reveals that LG has scrapped its G-series and hence the LG G9 ThinQ won’t be coming. Instead, the company claims to launch a yesteryear Chocolate series phone with the same specs that were supposed to come in G9 ThinQ.

Past reports had claimed LG is restructuring its smartphone lineup. It was said that the company will be killing its G lineup. Its place will be taken by the V-series. Hence, the V-series will be rivalling with Samsung’s Galaxy S-series phones that debuts in the first quarter of the year. Last month, LG had unveiled the V60 ThinQ 5G to take on the Galaxy S20 series.

Coming back to the new information, the LG G9 ThinQ could born as part of the brand new Chocolate lineup or a new series smartphone. It is expected to go official in the first half of the year.

The handset is expected to house a 6.7-inch to 6.9-inch large-sized display. For better multi-tasking experience, the phone will be accompanied with a Dual Screen accessory. The Snapdragon 765G chipset will be powering the device.

The quad camera of the phone will have a primary lens of 48-megapixel. The phone may house a 4,000mAh battery. In South Korea, the smartphone may cost around KRW 900,00- (~$705). The other details of the smartphone are currently under the wraps.
