Even though we are still nearly two weeks away from the LG Velvet launch event, but LG has decided to reveal most of the device’s key specs ahead of its official launch. That’s certainly unlike the usual teasing campaign which smartphone makers engage in prior to their smartphone launches.
Now, let’s dive into the LG Velvet’s key specifications. Starting with the front, the device will sport a 6.8-inches Cinema FullVision display which has an impressive 20.5:9 tall screen aspect ratio. It is expected to be an AMOLED display which supports in-display fingerprint sensor.
On its back panel, it’s “raindrop” triple-camera setup will be home to a 48 megapixels main camera, an 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a 5 megapixels depth sensor. As expected, its main camera will be utilizing a 4-in-1 pixel binning technique to produce ultra-clear 12MP photos even under darker environment.
Under the hood, the LG Velvet will be driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 765G SoC which will bring 5G connectivity to the device. There is also a respectable 4,300mAh battery which will be assisted by software tweaks to minimize unnecessary power consumption. According to its Wireless Power Consortium listing, the LG Velvet will also be able to support 10W wireless charging.
Moreover, the LG Velvet will also carry support for various exclusive accessories such as ‘LG Dual Screen’ and ‘Stylus Pen’.
