Ahead of its official launch on May 8th, the Meizu 17 is already up for pre-order in the Chinese market. Those who’re interested could pre-order the device with an initial deposit of 100 Yuan (US$14) starting today.

On the same pre-order listing, Meizu has also published the official renders of the device in all 3 different colorways including White, Black, as well as Dark Green.

From what we’d learned so far, the Meizu 17 will be featuring an AMOLED display which supports 90Hz screen refresh rate. Undoubtedly, it will come with an in-display fingerprint sensor as well.

On its back panel, the device has a unique-looking horizontal camera module which houses a quad-camera setup consisting of a 64MP Sony’s IMX686 main camera. The other 3 sensors are expected to be an ultra-wide lens, telephoto lens, as well as a 3D ToF sensor for depth information.

Under the hood, the Meizu 17 will be driven by the latest Snapdragon 865 SoC which will allow the device to support both standalone (SA) and non-standalone (NSA) 5G modes. Similarly, the device will also be utilizing the latest UFS 3.1 flash storage and LPDDR5 RAM technologies.

Last but no the least, there will also be a huge 4,500mAh battery which is capable of supporting the company’s proprietary 30W Super mCharge technology. Although the “Pro” model is able to support wireless charging, but there is still no official words whether the non-Pro model carries such support.
