Meizu 17 Series Has Snapdragon 865 and UFS 3.1

Meizu will be launching the Meizu 17 series of smartphones on May 8. Speculations are rife that the series two devices such as Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro. Yesterday, the company released the first official render of the phone to showcase its front and rear design. Today, the company revealed that the Meizu 17 will be driven by the Snapdragon 865 mobile platform.

The SD865 chipset will be accompanied by UFS 3.1 storage on the Meizu 17. With 14 days remaining for the launch, the company is gradually revealing the key features of the smartphone. The company said recently that the May announcement will give it sufficient time to prepare enough stock to meet the demand.

Meizu 17 poster that was released revealed that it will be the company’s first smartphone to arrive with a punch-hole screen. The AMOLED screen of the device is integrated with an in-screen fingerprint scanner. The corners of the phone are rounded, and it has a curved rear shell.

The Meizu 17 has a horizontal quad camera setup on its back. The unique setup has four cameras with an LED flash ring placed in between. The company has revealed that the Meizu 17 will be available in Fantasy Unicorn White and 17-Degree Gray color editions.

The exact differences in specifications of the Meizu 17 and Meizu 17 Pro smartphones are not known yet. However, their 3C certifications revealed that the Meizu 17 could be coming with a 30W fast charger and the Pro model could be equipped with a faster 40W rapid charger.
