In 2017, Xiaomi had launched the Xiaomi Mi 6 flagship phone. At that time, some rumors had speculated that there could be a Plus or Pro version of the phone. However, the company did not unveil it. A reliable tipster from China has shared some live shots of an unreleased Mi 6 series. It could have arrived in the market as Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro.
The blue-colored device appears quite similar to the Xiaomi Mi 6. While the side bezels are quite thin, the forehead and chin of the device are very thick like many other phones from 2017. The chin of the device has a capacitive home button that probably includes a fingerprint sensor. The glass rear of the phone features a vertical dual camera setup along with an LED flash.
The leakster revealed that the Snapdragon 835 mobile platform powered Xiaomi Mi 6 Pro had LG Display’s quad curved screen and it sported virtual pressure-sensitive buttons on the side. A physical power button can be seen on the top. Also, it was a waterproof device. However, the company did not mass produce the phone probably because the 2017 marked the arrival of full screen smartphones.
Xiaomi is now gearing up to introduce the Xiaomi Mi10 series in China. The company has cancelled an offline launch event for it mainly because of the Coronavirus outbreak. It is now said to be working on an online live conference for the Mi 10 series that will be probably held next week. Xiaomi is yet to release an official confirmation on it. The series includes Xiaomi Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro and probably an Exclusive Edition with transparent rear.
