MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ to launch on April 11, reveals reliable leaker

MediaTek unveiled the Dimensity 9400 in October 2024. Soon after its announcement, brands like Oppo and Vivo introduced their flagship phones powered by the new chip in the same month. Several reports indicate that Chinese smartphone brands are now planning to launch Dimensity 9400+-powered smartphones. For those unaware, the Dimensity 9400+ is believed to be an overclocked version of the existing D9400. Previous leaks suggested that the chip would debut in March. However, a new leak by Digital Chat Station has revealed the exact date of the D9400+ unveiling.

Dimensity 9400+ to be unveiled on April 11, claims DCS

As seen in the above screenshot, DCS has revealed that the Dimensity 9400+ launch event is scheduled for April 11. He added that the launch dates of other brands for D9400+-powered devices are yet to be confirmed.

Reports suggest that the Vivo X200S, Oppo Find X8S, iQOO Neo 10S Pro, Redmi K80 Ultra, and a mysterious Redmi gaming tablet are among the devices expected to feature the Dimensity 9400+. It appears that the Vivo X200S and Pad 4 Pro may be the first to launch with the D9400+ chip.

Back in January, DCS revealed that the Dimensity 9400+ will retain the same ARM Cortex-A925 prime CPU core found in the standard D9400. However, its clock speed will be increased from 3.62GHz to 3.7GHz.

MediaTek is also said to be working on the Dimensity 9500. This chip, which is slated to power the Vivo X300 series and the Oppo Find X9 series, is expected to launch in October of this year.
