Meizu 16X AnTuTu Listing Reveals Specs and 164,726 Score

Meizu CEO Jack Wong has confirmed that the company will be launching a smartphone named Meizu 16X in September. Rumors have it that it has a model number of m1872. The same smartphone has surfaced on AnTuTu today with decent average benchmarking scores of 164,726.

The m1872 smartphone features Snapdragon 710 chipset. This information was already confirmed by Wong for the Meizu 16X smartphone soon after the launch of Meizu 16 and 16 Plus smartphones. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and it has an internal storage of 64 GB. The handset is running on Android 8.1 Oreo.

Wong has confirmed that the Meizu 16X will be featuring Super AMOLED screen like the Meizu 16 duo, but the exact screen size of the Meizu 16X is not known yet. However, the AnTuTu listing of the phone has confirmed that it supports 2160 x 1080 pixels FHD+ resolution. It indicates that it will be a notch-less phone that offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. Wong has revealed that the smartphone will be equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. As far as the pricing of the phone is concerned, it is expected to cost around 2,000 Yuan ($292) and 2,500 Yuan ($365) since the Meizu 16 has a starting price of 2,698 Yuan ($395).

Meizu has another Snapdragon 710 smartphone called Meizu 8X that may debut after the Meizu 16X. The Meizu 8X is expected to arrive as the first phone from the company with notched display.
