Meizu will be launching the Meizu 17 series of smartphones on May 8. The company has been spilling information on the specs of the Meizu 17 handset, but has been silent on revealing details of the Meizu 17 Pro. A Chinese tipster has shared some images of what appears to be an invite of the Meizu 17 Pro. The invite contains some key information on the Meizu 17 Pro, and it reveals that it carries support for wireless charging.

The new images of the Meizu 17 Pro invite show that it will be powered by Snapdragon 865 mobile platform. The handset will be equipped with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. It features the latest OneMind 4.0 artificial intelligence.

It seems like the vanilla Meizu 17, the Pro edition is also fitted with 64-megapixel quad camera setup. It is known that the phone has a Sony IMX686 as the primary lens, a telephoto lens, an ultrawide sensor and a macro shooter in its camera system. At the center of the horizontal camera setup is a LED ring flash.

The Meizu 17 Pro also features 5G support, mSmartLink, Wi-Fi 6 and NFC. An important addition on the device is the support for Super wireless mCharge technology. The company is yet to confirm on the charging speeds of its wireless charging for the Meizu 17 Pro. The Pro model is also rumored to be equipped with a curved screen and it is expected to arrive with 40W mCharge wired charging support.

In comparison, the Meizu 17 is expected to come with a flat display with 90Hz refresh rate support, SD865, 64-megapixel quad cameras and a 4,500mAh battery. It may not support wireless charging but will come with 30W mCharge technology.
