Meizu has confirmed that pre-orders for the Meizu 21 will commence at just 1 yuan starting on Nov. 15. One of the standout features of the Meizu 21 is its remarkably narrow bezel design, measuring a mere 1.74mm and claims to challenge the world record for the narrowest bottom bezel.
Meizu has emphasized that the extremely narrow bezel represents their unwavering commitment to providing the ultimate user experience. It has a history of pushing boundaries in technology, and this time, it is focused on offering an incredible screen-to-body ratio experience with the Meizu 21 series.
According to available IMEI database information, the standard Meizu 21 is identified as model M461Q, with special models M461H and M461S. The Meizu 21 Pro models are M481Q and M481S. Notably, both devices have been approved by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, whereas the standard model has been approved by China’s 3C authority.
The CMIIT has revealed that the Meizu 21 Pro, which bears the M481S model number, will support UWB (Ultra-Wide Band) technology, whereas the Meizu 21’s 3C certification has revealed that it will arrive with support for 80W wired charging. Both devices are expected to pack a 4,800mAh battery and a 5,020mAh battery, respectively. Both models are said to support 80W wired charging, whereas the Pro variant is likely to support 50W wireless charging.
As per previous reports, the Meizu 21 series is primarily focused on core configuration upgrades, with less significant changes in appearance. Expectations include an ultra-narrow bezel design, a cantered single-hole screen, and a continuation of the vertical rear camera arrangement along with a new RGB-LED ring flash.
Both phones will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. The standard Meizu 21 is expected to feature an OIS-enabled 50-megapixel main camera and a telephoto lens. The Pro version’s camera specifications are yet to be confirmed, with uncertainty surrounding the choice between a high-end telephoto lens or a periscope telephoto lens.
