More details of Asus Zenfone 8 leaked ahead of launch

Just a few days ago, we finally got our first look at the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 8 series smartphones courtesy of a series of official-looking renders which show off the device in various angles.

Right now, more details pertaining to the specs of the vanilla Zenfone 8 have been leaked out, days away from its scheduled launch on May 12th. According to fresh information, the upcoming ASUS Zenfone 8 is expected to feature a 5.9” Samsung E4 AMOLED display that offers a smooth 120Hz screen refresh rate.

In the camera department, the Zenfone 8 will relies on a dual-camera setup housed within a rectangular camera module. These cameras include a 64 megapixels main camera that’s capable of supporting up to 8K recording and 4K slow-mo at 120fps.

Other than that, there’s also a 12 megapixels ultra-wide camera which also doubles up as a macro camera. For selfie, it also has a 12 megapixels front-facing camera as well.

At the helm, the Zenfone 8 is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 888 chipset which will be paired with up to 16GB RAM and 256GB UFS 3.1 storage in the memory department.

Interestingly, it was also mentioned that the phone will be arriving with Nokia’s proprietary OZO audio technology, dual-speaker setup and 3.5mm headphone jack as well.

To keep its light on, the device draws power from a 4,000mAh battery that carries support for 30W fast-charging. It’ll be shipped with the latest ZenUI based on Android 11 OS.
