More than 4.5 million Redmi K20 series smartphones have been shipped globally

During the Redmi K30 launch event earlier today, Xiaomi took some time to share on stage the sales performance of the Redmi K20 smartphone series that was announced back in June this year.

Redmi K20 Sales Figure

According to the company, they’d shipped a total of more than 4.5 million smartphones globally from the K20 series within a short span of just 6 months – making it one of the best-selling Redmi smartphone series to date.

Since it’s official launch, the Redmi K20 has been selling like hot cakes with more than 200,000 units sold within 2 hours during it’s debut sale; and subsequently one million units sold within the first month of debut.

Surely, it’s success doesn’t came much as a surprise given how price-worthy the K20 series smartphones are. We believe the newly announced Redmi K30 series will also be able to echo the success of it’s predecessor as it continues to offer impressive specs at an affordable price point.

This time round, the 5G variant of the Redmi K30 is currently one of the cheapest 5G smartphones in the market with a starting price of just 1,999 Yuan ($285). This is definitely something good to see as it’ll help with the adoption of 5G smartphones by making them more affordable to consumers.

With that in mind, let’s wait and see how the Redmi K30 series performs this time round!
