A leaked image of the upcoming Motorola Moto E5 smartphone has been revealed by an Indian publication. The image shows that the smartphone will be coming with a slight change in its design as it features a rear-mounted fingerprint reader.
The above image shows that the Moto E5 does not feature a capacitive Home button embedded with a fingerprint reader like the predecessor phone – the Moto E4. Instead of the Home button, it features a “motorola” logo. A selfie camera along with a dedicated LED flash seems to be present above the screen. The upcoming budget phone from Motorola does not seem to feature a full screen design. It appears that will be come with a conventional display that offers an aspect ratio of 16:9.
The rear camera and its LED flash are placed inside a round-shaped camera housing. The major change in the design of the Moto E5 is the rear placement of the fingerprint scanner. The biometric recognition feature seems to be embedded in Motorola’s dimpled batwing symbol that lies below the camera housing.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the specifications of the Motorola Moto E5. Since the original Moto E4 and E4 Plus were unveiled in June 2017, it is speculated that the rumored Moto E5 and E5 Plus smartphones may be unveiled late in Q2 this year.
