The much-anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 flagship SoC has gone official. It will be powering major flagship phones from brands like Motorola, Xiaomi, Samsung, Realme, iQOO, and so on. Soon after the announcement of the chip, Motorola took to Weibo to reveal that the Moto Edge X30 launch event will be held at 7:30 PM on Dec. 9 in China. It appears that the Edge X30 will be the first phone to arrive with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC.
It is speculated that apart from announcing the Moto Edge X30, the company may also announce another flagship phone. The second device is said to be a rebranded version of the Moto G200 that debuted recently in the global markets. The G200 is likely to debut with the Moto Edge S30 moniker in China.
Moto Edge X30 Specifications (Rumored)
Recent reports have revealed that the Moto Edge X30 will feature a 6.67-inch OLED display that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powered Edge X30 is expected to arrive with up to 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage.
The Edge X30 may house a 5,000mAh battery, which may be coupled with 68W fast charging. For security, it may feature an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The Edge X30 may come with a 60-megapixel selfie camera. Its rear camera setup may include a pair of 50-megapixel cameras and a 2-megapixel auxiliary lens.
