We’d been hearing about the upcoming Xiaomi 12 series smartphones for quite some time and now, the company has finally dropped it’s first official teaser for these devices.
Although the company still remains mum on the launch of the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones, but Xiaomi’s CEO Lei Jun did mentioned that it will be ”the world’s first smartphones powered by the new Snapdragon 8 5G Gen 1 mobile platform.”
Since the Motorola Edge X30 had already been confirmed to launch on December 9th in the Chinese market, it’s widely speculated that the Xiaomi 12 series smartphones might not be literally the first smartphones to launch with the new chipset, but could possibly be the first to launch in the global market.
Of course, apart from Motorola and Xiaomi, most other smartphone makers including Realme, OPPO, OnePlus, iQOO, ZTE and Nubia had also confirmed that their forthcoming flagship models will be adopting the new Snapdragon 8 5G Gen 1 chipset.
