Moto G86 5G to launch soon, full specifications revealed

Motorola appears to be expanding its G-series lineup with three new models — the Moto G56, G86, and G96. After leaking the full spec sheet of the G56, reliable tipster Evan Blass has now shared complete details about the Moto G86, which goes by the internal codename “Nice”. Here’s a look at what to expect from the G86.

The Moto G86 is said to feature a 6.67-inch pOLED display with a sharp 2712 x 1220 resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, a peak brightness of 4500 nits, and Gorilla Glass 7i protection. The phone will run Android 15 out of the box, with Motorola offering two OS upgrades and four years of bi-monthly security patches (for EMEA regions).

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset. It may ship with 8GB or 12GB RAM, along with storage choices of 128GB and 256GB. The phone could also support up to 12GB of virtual RAM and include a microSD card slot for further expansion. Depending on the region, The Lenovo-owned brand may equip the G86 with either a 5,200mAh or a 6,720mAh battery, both supporting 33W fast charging.

The G86 will feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and its rear panel will have a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 main camera with OIS support, coupled with an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor with macro vision.

Other features include dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, Smart Connect, an in-screen fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, dual SIM (nano + microSD hybrid), and eSIM support (regional). The 5,200mAh variant will measure 161.2 x 74.74 x 7.87mm and weigh 185 grams, while the 6,720mAh version will be 8.65mm thick and weigh 198 grams. The build includes IP68-rated dust and water resistance, MIL-STD-810H certification.

At present, there is no information on the Moto G86’s launch timeframe. It is expected to launch in Pantone-themed shades such as Spellbound, Chrysanthemum, Golden Cyprus, and Gossamer Sky.
