Motorola has officially unveiled the brand new Motorola Edge 20 series smartphones which we’d been hearing for quite some time. As expected, a total of three different models were announced including the Motorola Edge 20, Edge 20 Pro, as well as the Edge 20 Lite. Without further ado, let’s check out what the new Edge 20 series phones have in store for us!
Starting with the front, the Edge 20 trio shares a largely similar 6.7” OLED display with FHD+ screen resolution, 10-bit color depth, HDR10+ support, as well as DCI-P3 color gamut coverage. For the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro, the front display offers a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, while the Edge 20 Lite settles for a slightly slower 90Hz refresh rate instead.
In the imaging department, the trio feature a triple-camera system at the back lead by a 108 megapixels main camera. While the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Pro gets a 16 megapixels ultra-wide lens, the Lite model is equipped with a 8 megapixels ultra-wide unit instead.
For zooming, the Motorola Edge 20 Pro relies on an 8 megapixels periscope telephoto lens which offers 5x optical zoom, while the vanilla Edge 20 has an 8 megapixels telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom. The Motorola Edge 20 Lite on the other hand, lacks a telephoto lens as it settles for a 2 megapixels depth sensor instead. Upfront, the trio shares the same 32 megapixels selfie camera.
Under the hood, the Edge 20 Pro, Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite devices are powered by a Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 778G and Snapdragon 720 chipset respectively. In the memory department, the Edge 20 Pro features a more hefty 12GB+256GB configuration, while the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite get a modest 8GB+128GB setup.
To keep it’s lights on, the Edge 20 Pro is fitted with a 4,500mAh battery, while the Edge 20 and Edge 20 Lite draw power from a 4,000mAh and 5,000mAh battery respectively. Charging-wise, all three devices share the same 30W TurboPower fast-charging technology.
