Motorola Edge (2022) Geekbench Listing Reveals Chipset, RAM Details

Motorola is working on a new Edge series phone, which is tentatively named the Motorola Edge (2022). Hopefully, the final marketing name of the device will be confirmed in the coming weeks. Last week, 91mobiles teamed up with OnLeaks to give the first look at the design of the Edge (2022). The mysterious device has now been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking site. The listing has revealed details like the chipset, RAM, and OS version of the device.

The Geekbench listing of the Motorola Edge (2022) shows that it is powered by the Dimensity 1050 SoC, which was unveiled by MediaTek in May. The CPU details mentioned in the listing reveal that it has six CPU cores ticking at 2.50GHz and the remaining two CPU cores clocking at 2.0GHz.

The source code of the Geekbench listing reveals that the SoC includes Mali-G610 graphics. These details are enough to say that the Motorola Edge (2022) will feature the Dimensity 1050 chipset. In addition, the listing reveals that the device is equipped with 8 GB of RAM and boots to Android 12 OS. In the single-core and multi-core tests of Geekbench 5, the device scored 746 and 2142, respectively.

Previous reports have claimed that the Edge (2022) will house a 6.5-inch FHD+ pOLED screen that offers a 144Hz refresh rate. The D1050-powered device could have 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB of internal storage. It will be packed with a 6,000mAh that may carry support for rapid charging.

It may feature a 32-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 50-megapixel (main, with OIS) + 13-megapixel (ultrawide) + 2-megapixel (depth) triple camera unit. It is also possible that the device will include stylus support.
