Motorola launches the all-new Moto G Stylus, G Power & G Play trio

Motorola kicks off the year with a bang today by launching a trio of smartphones including the all-new Moto G Stylus (2021), Moto G Power (2021), as well as the Moto G Play (2021).

Starting with the highest-end model, the Moto G Stylus (2021) sports a huge 6.8-inches FHD+ LCD display that comes with a tiny hole-punch cutout on the upper-left corner which houses a 16 megapixels selfie camera.

At the back, the device dons a rectangular camera island which features a pretty standard quad-camera setup composing of a 48 megapixels primary shooter, 8 megapixels ultra-wide lens, as well as a pair of 2 megapixels camera for macro shot and depth information.

Under the hood, the Moto G Stylus (2021) is driven by an octa-core Snapdragon 678 chipset alongside 4GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card.

The main highlight of the Moto G Stylus (2021) however, is none other than its support for an external stylus which makes the device a more affordable option over the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 series devices.

To keep its lights on, there will be a respectable 4,000mAh battery with 10W standard charging support. Aside from that, you can also expect a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Pricing-wise, the Moto G Stylus (2021) is priced at US$299.99 for its sole 4GB+128GB model.

Next up, we have the Moto G Power (2021) that brings along a slightly smaller 6.6-inches HD+ display which retains the same hole-punch design upfront. For the selfie camera, it’ll also be downgraded to an 8 megapixels unit.

Coming to its rear cameras, the Moto G Power (2021) will have one less camera than its Moto G Stylus (2021) counterpart. More specifically, it lacks the 8 megapixels ultra-wide module, but retains the same 48 megapixels primary shooter and a pair of 2 megapixels sensors for macro and depth purposes.

Driving the device will be an octa-core Snapdragon 662 chipset which also is found in some of the recent devices including the POCO M3 and Redmi 9T. It will be paired with up to 4GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage in the memory department.

Unlike the Moto G Stylus (2021), the Moto G Power (2021) boasts a slightly larger 5,000mAh battery which carries support for up to 15W fast-charging. Apart from that, it also come with the usual goodies including a 3.5mm headphone jack, microSD slot for memory expansion, as well as a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.

For those who’re interested, the Moto G Power (2021) is tagged with a starting price of US$199.99.

Moto G Play (2021)

Last but not the least, we also have the Moto G Play (2021) – the most affordable variant among the trio. The device features a modest 6.5-inches HD+ LCD display with a dewdrop-notch at the top which houses a 5 megapixels selfie camera.

For photography, the device has a dual-camera setup at the back that includes a 13 megapixels primary shooter and a 2 megapixels depth sensor for portraits. Unlike the aforementioned smartphones, the Moto G Play (2021) has a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner instead of a side-mounted one.

At the helm, its powered by an entry-level Snapdragon 460 chipset coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB onboard storage which is further expandable via a microSD card. It also comes with a massive 5,000mAh battery with 10W standard charging support. Once again, the 3.5mm headphone jack is present on the Moto G Play (2021) as well.

In terms of pricing, the Moto G Play (2021) is priced at US$169.99 for its sole 3GB+32GB variant.
