Motorola RAZR 2 Tipped to Debut by August End

Motorola is reportedly working on a successor version of the Motorola RAZR clamshell phone that went official last year in November with a foldable display. The official name of the device is not known yet, but the rumor mill is currently referring to it as Motorola RAZR 2. Fresh information shared by popular tipster Evan Blass reveals that the RAZR 2 that is codenamed as ‘Odyssey’ will be debuting by the end of August.

The leakster did not share any other information on the specs of the Motorola RAZR 2. It is speculated that the RAZR 2 will be a 5G-ready handset as it will be equipped with Snapdragon 765 SoC.

Rumors surrounding the RAZR 2 have revealed that it will be flaunting a larger internal display of 6.7 inches. Also, the size of its outer display will also increase.

The rear side of the Motorola RAZR 2 is expected to sport a 48-megapixel Samsung GM1 lens. The selfie camera of the phone is likely to be upgraded to 20-megapixel. The Android 10 OS will come preinstalled on the phone. Other rumored specs of the RAZR 2 include 2,845mAh battery, 8 GB of RAM, and 128 GB of native storage. The clamshell is said to be designed considering the Chinese and North American markets in mind.

Currently, the original Motorola RAZR foldable phone is available with a discount of $500 until June 21. Probably, the company will be slashing it further in the coming days if it is really aiming to launch the RAZR 2 by August end. At present, there is no word on the pricing of the RAZR’s successor.
