Motorola Razr 5G Receives 3C Certification; Launch Could be Drawing Near

Last month, reputed tipster Evan Blass claimed that Motorola may launch the Motorola Razr 5G by the end of August. The arrival of the device could be drawing near as the clamshell phone has been certified by the 3C agency of China.

The original Motorola Razr that debuted in November 2019 was an LTE model. It is speculated that the upcoming Razr phone will have 5G capabilities. Past reports have revealed that the Motorola Razr 5G has XT2071 model number.

The variant of the phone heading to Chinese markets seems to have XT2071-4 model number as its been certified by 3C. The 3C listing confirms 5G support on the device. Also, it reveals that the clamshell phone may ship with an 18W fast charger. Hopefully, the flip phone will surface on TENAA with all its specifications ahead of its rumored August end launch.

Recent reports have revealed that Odyssey and Smith codenames belong to the Motorola Razr 5G. It is said to arrive with a 6.2-inch foldable inner display and a 2.7-inch outer display. The foldable phone will boot to Android 10 OS.

Multiple reports have claimed that the Razr 5G will receive the power to perform from the Snapdragon 765G mobile platform. The SoC could be supported by 8 GB of RAM. It may offer an internal storage of 256 GB.

The Razr 5G is likely to house a 2,845mAh battery. It may come with a selfie camera of 20-megapixel and a main camera of 48-megapixel. It expected to arrive in a dual SIM version with support for a nano-SIM and an e-SIM. The flip phone is likely to arrive in the Mercury Silver color variant.
